What is Qigong?

LEARN HOW TO WORK WITH YOUR ENERGY & SHIFT TO A MORE RELAXED & FULFILLED STATE OF BEING.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines movement, breathing techniques, and meditation to cultivate and balance the flow of energy in the body. This traditional form of exercise dates back over 5,000 years and is deeply rooted in Taoist philosophy.

The word qi refers to the life force or energy that flows through all living things. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that a person's health and well-being are determined by the balance and flow of qi in their body.  Just like we work out our physical body it is necessary to take care of the energy body.  We want to work with our energy,  not block or contract against it.

Increased Energy

Regular practice of Qigong has been shown to increase energy levels in the body. This is due to the combination of gentle movements, deep breathing, and mind-body connection, which helps to improve the flow of Qi (or life energy) in the body.

Why Qigong ?

Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that aims to promote the flow of vital energy, or Qi, throughout the body. It is based on the principle that good health is achieved when Qi flows freely and harmoniously through the body. There are various forms of Qigong, but they all involve a combination of meditation, breathing techniques, and slow movements. These practices are believed to help cultivate and balance the body's Qi, leading to improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Qigong is also closely connected to the concept of Yin and Yang - two opposing forces that are in constant interaction within the body. By practicing Qigong, one can promote a harmonious balance between these forces, which is essential for overall health. Moreover, Qigong is believed to stimulate the body's meridians - energy channels that run throughout the body. These meridians are connected to different organs and systems in the body, and by activating them through Qigong, one can improve their functioning. In addition to its physical benefits, Qigong also has a profound impact on the mind. Its meditative aspect helps quiet the mind and promotes inner peace, reducing stress and anxiety.
